Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation (Estd. 2008), a not-for-profit organization registered under Section 12-A, has established a 480 bedded dedicated cancer hospital with state-of-the-art facilities, served by dedicated and highly skilled staff. This largest charitable cancer hospital has earned reputation from all patients for its affordable care and all-round advanced facilities.
Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation has been registered Section 12 A of Income Tax Act, and has sought approval under rule 17A/11AA/2C of Form 10AC.The Foundation has the benefit of Income Tax Exemption under Section 80G of Income Tax Act, 1961.
Sir Shankara Cancer Foundation is registered with Ministry of Corporate Affairs for undertaking CSR Activities bearing Registration No. CSR00004616.The Foundation has the CSR-1 document.
The Foundation is registered under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) Act and the registration number is 94421917.
Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SSCHRC), a unit of Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation, is a comprehensive, 520 bed, charitable cancer hospital with well- equipped Departments of Radiotherapy, Radio-diagnosis, and Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Blood Transfusion and Laboratory Facilities including Anatomical Pathology, Microbiology, and Virology sections with fully automated equipment. Departments of Pain and Palliative Care, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation and Speech Therapy, Nutrition and Dietetics Unit, Holistic Services Unit, a Psycho-oncology unit are all under one roof delivering wholesome cancer care to the patients.
Since commencing of its operations on August 15, 2012, SSCHRC has been consistently fulfilling its main objectives of providing best cancer treatment at affordable costs including free treatment to the economically disadvantaged. So far, 61,000 (Sixty-one thousand) patients have received treatment during the last 10 years and more than 15000 (fifteen thousand) patients, have received concessional / free treatment to the tune of INR 80 Crores (INR Eighty crores) until November 30, 2022.
The hospital has added a feather to its cap by establishing Bone Marrow Transplantation Centre manned by its dedicated medical professional team and is providing treatment at highly subsidized costs.
Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital and Research Centre is dedicated to serve the poor and needy cancer patients and will be important lifeline for the patients.
