Named after Lord Dhanwanthari -the God of medicine, Dhanwanthari Vaidyasala was established in 1933 by late Vaidyan C N Namboothiri - a gifted physician and a visionary entrepreneur who pioneered the concept of institutionalizing Ayurvedic medicine marketing and treatment in Kerala. Dhanwanthari Ayurveda Hospital – the hospital division of Dhanwanthari Vaidyasala is located at heart of Thodupuzha town in Kerala and consists of a team of expert doctors, nursing staffs and therapists led by the chief physician Dr C NN Namboothiri ,who’s qualified and trained in both Ayurvedic and Modern systems of medicine. He is supported by his son- Dr N Satheesh Kumar and a panel of doctors qualified in various specialties. Dr C.D Sahadevan who has been serving as the Medical Director since two decades is a remarkable name in the field of Ayurveda for his outstanding contributions in healthcare. The Hospital campus which includes an Out-patient section, In-Patient wards, Pharmacy& a well equipped Medicine production unit is situated in the lush greenery of two acres plot, surrounded by years old trees .The services provided in the hospital includes both curative and wellness treatments. It is our motto to stay rooted to the basic principles and values of Ayurveda and yet try & execute them in a more palatable manner to meet the modern day needs & sensibilities.
