In 1930, the kadathanadu village best known for Kalaripayattu and other martial arts, was blessed by late Sr.Anandakurup, the Karanavar and Kalari Asan of the ancient Kurumbanadu Taluk's Ramath Tharavadu. He started a Kalari Chikitsa center in the village. With the Karanavar's vital support and blessing of Guru Bhagavan Swami Nithyananda,Late. Sri.Kunhi Krishnakurup – The Karanavar's son carried forward the candle of light and founded the " Ayurveda Marma Chikitsalayam",in kadathanadu village.Besides his long experiences in the field, Late Sri.Puthiyothil Narayanan Nambiar ,practicing Marma Chikitsa helped him by valuable advices and inspiration in the venture.
